I struggle to come up with enough superlatives to describe Lauren Underhill as a trainer and horsewoman. She's hard-working, detail-oriented, animal-focused, a beautiful and effective rider, an excellent and patient teacher, friendly, kind, and honest. She treats every horse and rider with the same high level of respect and care no matter the breed, age, or level-with the philosophy, I feel, that she doesn't believe in a one-size-fits-all program, but understands that every person and every horse is an individual with unique talents and requirements. The time that I spent with her as a client was singularly special (I have never felt better about my horse, or myself as a rider!), and I would still be in her program today if we still lived in the same state. I miss her every time I go to the barn-and would recommend her all day every day.

My daughter started riding with Chris when she was 7. She wouldn't go anywhere else. Chris and Lauren's lessons brought her to the derby level where she placed and was transitioning into jumpers when she started college. Throughout the years the training was given with care, fun, and was safe. Riding was her highlight of her week. The care, love and passion that Chris and Lauren give to both horses and riders matches their knowledge and skill. Highly recommend!

When working with Lauren and Chris to find my current horse, they literally scoured two continents, a handful of countries, both coasts, multiple states, countless horse shows, and ALL their personal contacts to find me a real life unicorn that checked every box I gave them. To say they go "above and beyond" is an understatement.

My daughter trained with Chris and Lauren for two years, starting with her transition from casual riding to getting more serious and preparing for her first hunter/jumper shows. She really thrived with their firm, consistent direction, and it has been great to watch both her riding skills and her confidence grow. Riding under trainers who are also standout competitive riders themselves has really inspired her to focus and work hard in hopes of being a standout rider one day herself. Their program has been a great experience for my daughter, she has had fun and developed skills she will no doubt use outside the arena as well.

Lauren's training program is sophisticated, detail-oriented, and she individually focuses on the horse and rider pair. While training with Lauren we were always in the top ribbons at local A shows and at HITS Ocala. My daughter won the IHJA Adult Medal Final on a green horse while under Lauren's training.
